Whether you're chasing mountain views, lakeside tranquility, or adrenaline-fueled adventures, our team will help you plan the perfect route using our curated list of Japan’s best campsites and outdoor activity spots.

We take care of everything, from booking campsites and organizing nature excursions to providing optional full food and drink provisions for your entire trip. Your campervan can come fully stocked and ready to go for a seamless, stress-free journey. Our experienced guides can be as hands-on or hands-off as you’d like: they can help cook meals, join you around the fire, or simply guide you to your first destination and leave you to enjoy the experience on your own terms.

Our staff are outdoor experts with backgrounds in extreme sports like white-water rafting and mountain climbing, so the adventure possibilities are endless. Whether you want a quiet escape into the mountains or an action-packed few days in nature, we’ll build a trip tailored to your pace, style, and interests.

  • Who is Tokyo VIP Tours?

Brought to you by the team behind Tokyo Supercars, this platform was created through nearly a decade of experience in the luxury tourism industry.  Tokyo VIP Tours connects you to exclusive luxury experiences curated for travelers seeking something truly special in and around Tokyo.

  • What should I bring?

We’ll provide most of the essentials, including firewood, cooking gear, and sleeping supplies. Just bring comfortable clothes, a warm jacket (depending on the season), any personal toiletries, and a small bag with anything you want for the overnight stay.

  • What should I wear?

Dress comfortably for the outdoors. Layers are recommended, especially in spring and autumn. We also suggest sneakers or hiking shoes if you plan to join the hike.

  • Are tattoos allowed in the onsen?

If the tour includes a stop at an onsen, we select locations that allow tattoos or offer private options. Let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

  • Where is pickup and drop-off?

Hotel pickup and drop-off in central Tokyo is included.

If you’re staying outside central Tokyo, pickup may still be possible for a small additional fee—please contact us for details.

  • Is the tour private?

Yes. This is a fully private guided experience for you and your group. You’ll travel in your own campervan, accompanied by your dedicated guide in a separate support vehicle or camper.

  • What is the minimum age to participate?

This experience is great for all ages. Children are welcome, though very young kids should be comfortable with an overnight outdoor-style trip. Let us know if you’re traveling with small children and we can adapt the setup.

  • Can I join even if I’ve never been camping?

Absolutely. This tour is perfect for beginners. Your guide will handle all the setup, fire-building, cooking, and anything else you need help with. Just relax and enjoy the nature.

  • Is food included?

Food is not included in the tour price. However, we will stop at a local grocery store on the way to the campsite, where your guide will help recommend ingredients and items perfect for a BBQ dinner and breakfast. This way, you can choose food you enjoy and that suits your dietary needs and preferences.

  • What if it rains?

We monitor the weather closely. In the case of light rain, we’ll continue with waterproof gear and a covered campsite setup. For severe weather, we’ll work with you to reschedule or offer an alternative experience.
